I recently asked my friend's little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President some day.

Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, 'If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?' She replied, 'I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people.'

Her parents beamed.

'Wow! What a worthy goal.' I told her, 'But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that. You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and sweep my yard, and I'll pay you $50. Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house.'

She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, 'Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?'

I said, 'Welcome to the Republican Party.'

Her parents still aren't speaking to me!

Online Plagiarism

There is something going around called " Article Spinning". Article Spinning is when you take an article that someone wrote, change a few words and then publish it as your own. Online Plagiarism is becoming more and more of a problem. We don't always think the information we find on the "net" is protected by copyright law, but it is.

Believe me, I have several articles that I wrote myself. And if I see an article that even looks similar to an article that I wrote.....I will take the steps needed to keep my work protected. If there is an article that someone would like to use, all you have to do is copy it in the format that it is in, leaving the bio at the end as well. Don't change a thing.

Why would someone risk plagiarism? First of all, it does appear to be easier to get away with online since there are millions of articles out there. But understand this... You are taking away the credibility from someone that it takes into writing a passionate article. But maybe that's it. Much easier to steal from someone rather than take the time to do the work yourself. And if you are not a creative person, unable to write an article yourself, then hire a ghostwriter....That is what they are for.

Don't Steal Content From Someone Else's Hard Work. Plagiarism Is A Crime For Which You Can Be Prosecuted.

How Determined Are You?

How Strong Is Your Faith in your home business? How deeply do you KNOW that what you are doing is working? Or do you find that you question your success in what you are doing? Stop right there if you even have a glimpse of doubt!!! You need to put yourself in a position where you sink or swim... There has to be a sense of urgency. You can't leave any room for doubt. Not one glimpse, not one second. Focus on what you want, and what the outcome will be. Leaving no room for doubt.

This is my personal experience.

I know without a doubt, where I will be. I can see my future. I can see the house that my children and I will live in. I can see how ALL my bills will be paid....How I can splurge on things that I never could have before. I can see the vacation that I will be able to take my kids on.

The thing is, it's not enough to THINK! You need to know it... Believe it......See it..... Taste it....Feel it.... Live it....Until you do get there. This is called DETERMINATION.... And guess what? Not everyone has this skill perfected.

If you have determination, then you are 90% of the way in achieving whatever it is that you want. Determination is very different than WANTING. Determination is taking your DESIRE and putting it onto action.

You first need to know what you want....For me, that's being able to provide for my children and myself a much more relaxed, financial living. To be able to help out my friends and family that are in need...And I want to be able to help support charities that are close to my heart. My children will be able to say that "Yes, mom struggled for awhile, but look at where we are now".

Ok, Now I know what I want... Now you need to come up with a plan of action. I plan on telling everyone what I do and how I can help. And make a difference one person at a time. If you are in a position where you sell, then you will do whatever it takes to sell your product...If you are in a position of recruiting, then you will get out there and explain to people why they should join you. Whatever it is that you do, do MORE of it. That's determination.

If you have ever given up on something that you wanted, look back and evaluate "why" you gave up. Chances are it was from negativity. And most negativity comes from those we care about. Friends and family. They are the most guilty of this. They think if they can't do something, that you can't either. That it won't work. Again, you need determination. Block out the negativity.

Surround yourself with people that are supportive of what you want. That do believe in you. That want what you want. You may find only one or two people that believe in you. And guess what? That's fine. You have one or two people that someone else does not have.

Please...There are so many people that want to doubt what they consider inconceivable. But it's your desire, backed with determination and a plan of action that will get you what you want. What is the difference between those that are successful and those that are not??? DETERMINATION.... That's all. They know what they want and they won't quit until they get it.

1) Know what you want
2) Allow your desire/determination to lead you
3) Follow the actions needed to get you there
4) Block out ALL negativity
5) Surround yourself with only positive people that believe in you. We all have at least one person that believes in us...All you have to do is pray for his guidance.

That's it in a nutshell.....Don't give up on something that you want. What a terrible thing to do. I know that my children will acquire leadership, determination and, perseverance from me. And what great skills to pass down. Now they will be able to achieve whatever they want.

Your Business is a 'Magnificent Adventure

“Life is to be lived as a magnificent adventure, or not at all.” - Helen Keller

The sad truth is, most people live like sheep, following each other around: Go to work, get home, watch the electronic income reducer … and continue the cycle day in and day out, living (as Emerson described it) “lives of quiet desperation” — and thinking this is normal simply because everyone else around them is doing the same thing!

Ben Franklin said, “Most men die at age 25, but aren’t buried until age 65!” What he was saying is that we quit dreaming. Sadly most people die “with their music still in them.” I have heard it said that “Hell starts when the person you are meets the person you could have become.” Now that is a scary thought!

Success is the process of living your life working toward worthy goals. And here is the brain tweak: once you reach your goals, you are no longer a success! You must set new goals!
“But Dale, I have been working my business for several months with nothing much to show for it … I need a new car and I’ve got to get some debt paid down. I have to budget every penny I earn. How can I be a success?”

Success is not being debt-free, having cars, going on vacations or buying expensive toys. Success is living your life working toward worthy goals. If you are sincerely and diligently working your business on a consistent weekly basis, and you have your reasons for doing the business in front of you daily, then you are a success!
You are much better off than the person who is following his friends and relatives around in the sheep pasture. (Get up, go to work, watch the electronic income reducer, go to bed, get up, go to work, watch the
electronic income reducer, go to bed, get up ….)

You are expanding your comfort zone. You are developing new communication skills and many new friends. If you persist, you will succeed financially! But the mere fact that you are in the game is more than most people can say!

Many people are quick to judge and criticize. So what? Most people are far too concerned about what other people think about them. Guess what? They aren’t thinking anything about you! They’re too worried wondering what you’re thinking about them!

Most people who are highly successful financially got there because they wanted to prove to their old high school friends that their opinion of them was wrong! Granted, that’s not true of all financially successful people — but it is of many I have met. It is sad how many of these financially successful folks wound up being so very guarded.

When all is said and done, the only person on this earth you really need to please is the one staring back at you in the mirror. That person really knows if you gave it all you had … really knows whether or not you’ve lived your life daily working toward worthy goals. Nobody elses opinion really counts! If everybody thinks you are wonderful but you don’t like you, you’re doing something wrong!

Personally, I just want to know that I have spent my life working toward worthy goals and working to make a positive difference in the lives of people that cross my path. How about you?
Stop chasing financial success! Instead, work on developing yourself and your communication and leadership skills, and the financial success will flow to you. It can’t be stopped. Develop yourself first.

Make a difference in other people’s lives and the rest will take care of itself.

We have to enlarge our vision and thinking. In today’s economy, those who are prospering are those who think they can. Are you thinking, “I’m going to have an extraordinary year!” or are you thinking, “Boy, this is going to be a tough year”? I hear many people saying, “I’m just going to weather the storm.” And, you know, that’s exactly what they’ll do—weather the storm. Instead, we should be saying, “I love the rain. It’s my time to prosper.” And here is how:

How Strong Are You?

We sometimes quit even before we start. We don't think we are strong enough sometimes or it is just simply impossible. But we have to endure it for in the end it is worth it. We need to give our best. And in my business that is exactly what I do... I give my best and expect nothing less.

You Just Had To Go And Do It Again!

I'm touching briefly on a subject that is personal to me....I originally created this blog for business, then it turned into a little personal and now I keep it in the middle. And from all the emails that I receive, people seem to like it that way.

I want to address again, the Deadbeat dads.... One in particular. My daughters donor. And yes, he will see this. The last time I heard anything from you was last August when you left me the pleasant message advising me that you were quitting your job, not paying another cent and would see her when she was 18.

Why in the world would you call after all this time telling me that you would like to come and see her this weekend before you get sent away? You put me in a position where I had to set her down and prepare her "Do you remember Dwayne that came over a couple times, along time ago? Well he would like to come and see you again.".

So I did just that.... Prepared her. I played it up in her eyes so that she would be excited to see you....Want to see you.....And not be so intimidated....But you did it again!!! Unreliable, Self Centered, Selfish, Uncaring, Thoughtless, Rude, Hurtful and Mean Spirited......Yes, this is you.

Then I am placed in another situation where I have to "downplay" it the two times that she asked "When is Dwayne coming over to see me"? You hurt her! I can see the sadness in her eyes because I am here to see it. I can see the way she shrugs her shoulders when your name is mentioned. I can feel her uncertainty when she makes me "promise" whenever I tell her we are going to do something.

I told you along time ago that you CAN'T come in and out of her life.....You are either in or not....You understood, so you said. But you continue to do it over and over.....Say things and not follow through. Or you go a year and not even call to see how she is. I am NOT allowing it anymore.

Go ahead and print this off... Use it for whatever reason you think this is going to help you....But it won't. You are digging your own hole anyway. I believe that every little girl NEEDS her daddy. And if he is not in the picture, then a positive role model will be a great substitute. She has that...... She has that positive role model that really cares about her, does not want to hurt her and only wants the best for her. And she has gained a whole family that cares about her as well.

Since I'm sure it will be another year before I hear from you, I know you will see this before then. Leave her alone! Stop hurting her! If you continue to pop in her life once every year or so, you are only hurting her more. You have proven that she can't depend on you. That you won't be there for her. And it is up to me to do what's best for you.

So here's a proposition: Leave her alone.... Walk away..... You are not obligated in any way to her.....I will do what I can about having papers drawn up that will allow you to walk away and not get into any trouble..... Sign your rights away and you are under no obligation... No more child support will be required from you... (It's not like you have been helping anyway).

She is a blessing. I am so lucky to have her in my life. The sad thing is, you don't even care enough to see any of it. She is such a very head-strong little girl....Even when putting a puzzle together, she will do it her way, not wanting any help, even if it's wrong. And it's that determination that makes her a fighter, even at such a young age.

She needs a soft shoulder to lay on. One that will consistently be there for her and not let her down. That is me...... SIGN THE PAPERS!

Ok, So I Wasn't A Super Hero Today!

I have so rocked this past 4 days in my business. I mean REALLY rocked. I have partnered up with 3 new business partners in the last 4 days...I am loving this. The ability to make a difference in someone else, financially. To step up and be the leader that they need and want is a big challenge to carry, but it's a challenge that I enjoy.

I love teaming up with like-minded people that are ready to make a change. That want more, know they can have more with the right tools and a little coaching and teaming up, we can all achieve that. It's a mutual goal of ours and we all have that desire.

So I would like to welcome Stevi,(yes, it's spelled correctly) Samantha and Marie..... I feel lucky to have met you all and can't wait to see each one of us progress. It's nice to be working with the whole team that I have. To get us all on the same page, and moving forward is OUR goal. Now combine Stevi, Marie and Samantha with Dorie, Connie and Nidia, WOW. That's all I can say, is WOW.

Now I have to mention a part of my day that I'm not thrilled about... LOL...So I'm working with the new girls this morning and I hear some fluttering and pecking going on downstairs....I walk slowly downstairs and turn the corner and notice something that flew right past me, into the kitchen....I hauled ass up the stairs, ran in my room and slammed the door shut.

I know, I know...I was NOT in my normal super hero mode that I am so proud to have in me. And I'm talking about giving birth to my daughter (natural) and yes, Lee and Becky were there, they know what I'm talking about....Not an hour later after having my daughter, I'm outside having my first cigarette (I know, I know). Funny, after a c-section with my son, I was comatose for days... Could not even move... LOL...

Anyway, I am tough. I know it and am proud of it....I have to be though.

So here I am in my room hearing all this pecking like there is a woodpecker in my house...Then I hear some clanking around and things falling....I'm starting to freak out....LOL... Really. I tell myself that hey, I'm ok... I have my coffee and phone... lol.... So I call a few people and guess what? One is sleeping, one is not home and the other is at work..... Uggghhh!!!

Now I hear nothing... So I decide to open my door and take a peek... BAD CHOICE... lol.... I open the door and there is this bird, the size of a F150 truck (ok, I'm exaggerating a little) sitting on my table in the hall, staring at me with those BIG beady eyes glaring at me. I slammed my door again and locked it this time... LOL...

I call my sons father and ask if birds attack people.... He seems to think this is comedy hour, featuring me.....LOL....He tells me they don't attack as long as I'm not messing with their nest....He tries to tell me to just walk down past the bird (as if not to see it) and open the door so it can go out. LMAO... Sure, OK! Look, it knows I am here and I know it is here..... I hang up the phone and jiggle the door knob and hear a bunch of fluttering and pecking so I decide to stay in the room where it's not that bad after all...I have my phone and coffee... lol.

I'm looking out the window for any life form possible and there is not one person out....I was going to yell out and have someone open my front door.....I'm looking out my window, 2 stories up wondering how badly would I get hurt if I jumped..... OMG, this is just so funny writing this....Thinking to myself that I really don't feel like going to the emergency room, I decide NOT to jump....

I found a plastic toy gun still wrapped in the hard plastic... I grab it....I even fired it a couple times and that just made the bird more hostile towards me.... Ok, probably not...Probably more scared...But I heard more pecking and banging around downstairs....Ohh boy, here I go.. I call my sons dad again....By this time, I am hysterical....Laughing at myself, freaking out and wanting this nasty, disease infested animal OUT, I call..... He tells me to grab a pillow and walk down.... HA HA ha ha .... A pillow?.....What the hell is a pillow going to do? I don't need a nap and neither does the bird....I'm looking for some heavy artillery....Brooms, bats, the mattress off the bed...Anything BIG..... Not a pillow!

Now, I know I'm joking around and everything....But it did help to have him on the phone when I finally did get the courage up to go downstairs and meet my opponent head on. (it's always good to be on the phone with someone in case the bird decided to attack me to death, the person on the other end of the phone can call 911). Yes, I had a pillow in one hand and the plastic gun in another.... 3 steps away from the front door....I tip toe and hear the ruffling of the feathers stuck behind my blinds... I make a run for it....I open the door and stand outside, holding the door open with a pillow in one hand and the gun in another just waiting for bird to fly out.....I hang up the phone, thanking him tremendously....A neighbor comes over and waits with me for this bird to finally fly out.

I go in and take a look at the mess that this bird made.... Pictures down on the floor that were hanging up, feathers everywhere.....and yes, little bird droppings....So I have just spent the last 3 hours cleaning, disinfecting and cleaning and more disinfecting everything.

So what's the moral of this story? There isn't one.....LOL.....But guaranteed if my kids had video of this, I'd be up on youtube and everyone would be laughing......

Creating Your Outcome

There is something to be said in how you set the tone right away in the morning, for the rest of your day. I wrote a mini article on this in the past and thought I would touch on this a little bit more.

Imagine you wake up first thing in the morning, only to step into a little puddle on the floor. Then realizing that puddle was from your pet.

Or you are on your way to work and you are getting caught by every red light and every cross walk possible. With 7 minutes to spare, you realize that you left your proposal at home on the kitchen table. You have to go back to get it but you know you are going to be late.....Yes, these are things that are more than likely going to set you in a bad mood all day.

Aside from getting rid of your pet and keeping your proposal in your car so you don't forget. There are a few other things you can do to help create the outcome of your day.

This is a hard one for me since I am NOT a morning person... LOL... But, wake up a few minutes early. Not to go jogging for 10 miles or go work out at the gym... Unless, that's what moves you. But to give your mind the focus and positive energy that it needs to continue throughout the day.

After I get my first cup of coffee in me, I then head to my bedroom and open up the blinds...(after the sun rises) lol. And you need to do the same in your office... Open the blinds and let the light in. It just radiates warmth instead of feeling like you are just hidden behind 4 dreary walls.

Get your mind stimulated by reading positive quotes of the day or from a book. Better yet, write your goal down and the actions you plan to take on getting there. Once you do that, read that out loud every morning and every night...It can't hurt to read it several times each day. You need to embed your goals and the actions you plan to take into your mind so much that it becomes routine to you. This is setting your mind into ONLY thinking of your goal and what you need to do to get there. Keeping focused.

Playing some great motivational music is another way to wake up every fiber of your being. Come on ladies, tell me that if you heard "It's Raining Men" you would not be up, dancing around. You would at least be dancing in your seat.. LOL.

Keeping a grateful journal is probably one of the most beneficial things you can do. Each night I write down the things that I was grateful for earlier that day. And this really helps since you can look back at what you wrote and reflect on how many things there were to be grateful for. So many people don't realize the abundance of good things in their life and it's not until they look back at what they wrote that they can remember......

And keeping a grateful journal is also like a SILENT way of praising the Lord. As a Christian, we are supposed to praise the Lord out loud for all the blessings that we have. Journaling is a silent form of praising. I still do my praising out loud.

The Line Between Defeat And Success

One of the most common causes of failure is the habit of quitting when one is overtaken by temporary defeat. Every person is guilty of this mistake at one time or another.

Before success comes in any man's life he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat and, perhaps, some failure. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit.

That is exactly what the majority of men do.

More than five hundred of the most successful men this country has ever known told "Napolean Hill" that their greatest success came just one step beyond the point at which defeat had overtaken them.
Failure is a trickster with a keen sense of irony and cunning. It takes great delight in tripping one when success is almost within reach.

Join Operation No Kid Hungry

A big thank you to @unmarketing on twitter for bringing this organization to my attention. I had no clue about it and immediately took part. And it was this video of @unmarketing that brought this to my attention. http://www.un-marketing.com/12for12k.html

I wanted to share this Organization with everyone. We all hear about children starving in third world countries....And maybe it does not seem to impact us as much since we don't really see it or know anyone affected.

Children are going hungry right here. And more than any of us can even imagine. Now I know with the way the economy is, people are cutting back on the type of food they used to eat....No more London Broil or Leg Of Lamb....But can you imagine NOT having something to eat?

Kind of hard to imagine unless you have been there. So I have stepped up and decided that I would help this organization that I never knew about if it were not for @unmarketing (twitter). Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention as well as many others.

Maybe you have an extra $10.00 to donate.... Or you are in a business that can help raise funds... There are so many ways to help. What a feeling to know that you provided a way for a child to eat.
