Ok, So I Wasn't A Super Hero Today!

I have so rocked this past 4 days in my business. I mean REALLY rocked. I have partnered up with 3 new business partners in the last 4 days...I am loving this. The ability to make a difference in someone else, financially. To step up and be the leader that they need and want is a big challenge to carry, but it's a challenge that I enjoy.

I love teaming up with like-minded people that are ready to make a change. That want more, know they can have more with the right tools and a little coaching and teaming up, we can all achieve that. It's a mutual goal of ours and we all have that desire.

So I would like to welcome Stevi,(yes, it's spelled correctly) Samantha and Marie..... I feel lucky to have met you all and can't wait to see each one of us progress. It's nice to be working with the whole team that I have. To get us all on the same page, and moving forward is OUR goal. Now combine Stevi, Marie and Samantha with Dorie, Connie and Nidia, WOW. That's all I can say, is WOW.

Now I have to mention a part of my day that I'm not thrilled about... LOL...So I'm working with the new girls this morning and I hear some fluttering and pecking going on downstairs....I walk slowly downstairs and turn the corner and notice something that flew right past me, into the kitchen....I hauled ass up the stairs, ran in my room and slammed the door shut.

I know, I know...I was NOT in my normal super hero mode that I am so proud to have in me. And I'm talking about giving birth to my daughter (natural) and yes, Lee and Becky were there, they know what I'm talking about....Not an hour later after having my daughter, I'm outside having my first cigarette (I know, I know). Funny, after a c-section with my son, I was comatose for days... Could not even move... LOL...

Anyway, I am tough. I know it and am proud of it....I have to be though.

So here I am in my room hearing all this pecking like there is a woodpecker in my house...Then I hear some clanking around and things falling....I'm starting to freak out....LOL... Really. I tell myself that hey, I'm ok... I have my coffee and phone... lol.... So I call a few people and guess what? One is sleeping, one is not home and the other is at work..... Uggghhh!!!

Now I hear nothing... So I decide to open my door and take a peek... BAD CHOICE... lol.... I open the door and there is this bird, the size of a F150 truck (ok, I'm exaggerating a little) sitting on my table in the hall, staring at me with those BIG beady eyes glaring at me. I slammed my door again and locked it this time... LOL...

I call my sons father and ask if birds attack people.... He seems to think this is comedy hour, featuring me.....LOL....He tells me they don't attack as long as I'm not messing with their nest....He tries to tell me to just walk down past the bird (as if not to see it) and open the door so it can go out. LMAO... Sure, OK! Look, it knows I am here and I know it is here..... I hang up the phone and jiggle the door knob and hear a bunch of fluttering and pecking so I decide to stay in the room where it's not that bad after all...I have my phone and coffee... lol.

I'm looking out the window for any life form possible and there is not one person out....I was going to yell out and have someone open my front door.....I'm looking out my window, 2 stories up wondering how badly would I get hurt if I jumped..... OMG, this is just so funny writing this....Thinking to myself that I really don't feel like going to the emergency room, I decide NOT to jump....

I found a plastic toy gun still wrapped in the hard plastic... I grab it....I even fired it a couple times and that just made the bird more hostile towards me.... Ok, probably not...Probably more scared...But I heard more pecking and banging around downstairs....Ohh boy, here I go.. I call my sons dad again....By this time, I am hysterical....Laughing at myself, freaking out and wanting this nasty, disease infested animal OUT, I call..... He tells me to grab a pillow and walk down.... HA HA ha ha .... A pillow?.....What the hell is a pillow going to do? I don't need a nap and neither does the bird....I'm looking for some heavy artillery....Brooms, bats, the mattress off the bed...Anything BIG..... Not a pillow!

Now, I know I'm joking around and everything....But it did help to have him on the phone when I finally did get the courage up to go downstairs and meet my opponent head on. (it's always good to be on the phone with someone in case the bird decided to attack me to death, the person on the other end of the phone can call 911). Yes, I had a pillow in one hand and the plastic gun in another.... 3 steps away from the front door....I tip toe and hear the ruffling of the feathers stuck behind my blinds... I make a run for it....I open the door and stand outside, holding the door open with a pillow in one hand and the gun in another just waiting for bird to fly out.....I hang up the phone, thanking him tremendously....A neighbor comes over and waits with me for this bird to finally fly out.

I go in and take a look at the mess that this bird made.... Pictures down on the floor that were hanging up, feathers everywhere.....and yes, little bird droppings....So I have just spent the last 3 hours cleaning, disinfecting and cleaning and more disinfecting everything.

So what's the moral of this story? There isn't one.....LOL.....But guaranteed if my kids had video of this, I'd be up on youtube and everyone would be laughing......

I just got a chance to read your FUNNY story. OK, I would have LOVED to been there for that moment. LOL, I am just picturing you acting like that and let me tell you, I can see it real clear! :-) You know how I like making fun of Blonde people and the SILLY things they say or do. Next time when something like that happens call me and we can both laugh. :-)
